Finns Beach Club Bali: World’s Best or Just World’s Most Hyped 2025 Review

Can you say that you’ve been to Bali, if you haven’t been to FINNS Beach Club? It’s a great line and one that shows just how important FINNS has become to the local economy. This beach club brings 1 in 4 international visitors to the island through its doors each year.

But is FINNS worthy of the hype? Curious, I grabbed my camera and went to visit the world’s best beach club to find out for myself.

Arriving At FINNS: The Security Team

FINNS is a club that sees over 5,000 visitors a day. It’s not some sort of shack on the beach, and you will notice that as soon as you arrive.

You enter the main beach club under a covered walkway with the iconic bamboo architecture that this club is renowned for locally. And you will encounter some security guards on your way in.

The guards are a friendly bunch, but you need to stop to have your bags searched. This is to ensure you’re not bringing in any prohibited items and also to make sure that all the guests in the club are safe.

If you do have something you’re not supposed to bring with you, don’t worry, it will be held at security until you leave, when you can pick it up.

Pro-tip: All the restrictions as to what you can and can’t bring to FINNS are highlighted on the club’s website on their FAQ page. If you leave everything at home that you can’t bring in, your bag will be lighter.

Then, once you’re through security, there’s a “wow!” moment as you step inside and catch sight of the pools sparkling in the sunlight, hear the first beats, and the staff greet you with that beaming Balinese smile.

First Impressions: FINNS Is Chilled By Day, Pure Energy By Sunset

If you hit FINNS at midday, it’s a surprisingly calm environment. Everyone is chilling on their daybeds, snapping some poolside selfies and enjoying a cold drink or two.

It feels modern, polished, clean and super well-managed, and it’s a great way to ease your way into the day.

Around 4 p.m., the energy starts to shift and things get faster, harder and louder. The DJs crank up the tunes, there’s a discernible increase in the flow of cocktails, and the sunset arrives soon after, setting the stage for a spectacular ocean view.

Finns Beach Club Bali

Everyone’s smartphone is out grabbing shots of the light show over the water, before their attention is drawn to the wealth of entertainment that continues to up its game all night long.

Pro-tip: If you want the best daybeds, you should always book in advance at FINNS. In peak season, daybeds can be booked out days or even weeks ahead. Even in the offseason, if you snooze, you can lose out on the ideal sunset seating. If you must turn up on the day and want a good seat, I recommend that you get to FINNS early.

Minimum Spend Requirements: How Seating At FINNS Works

Unlike many of the beach clubs in Bali, FINNS has no entrance fee. You can always enter the beach club for free. That means if you want to check it out for yourself before you commit to anything, you can.

Also, unlike most beach clubs in Bali, FINNS has seats with no minimum spend requirements. You are always welcome to sit in the bars or restaurant areas (assuming seats are available) without agreeing to spend a certain amount of money.

In the rest of the beach club, if you want a daybed, cabana or other premium seating option, you will need to agree to a minimum spend.

This is an amount that you agree to spend on food, drinks and/or tobacco products while you are in FINNS. There is no charge for the seating.
Pro-tip: If you can’t use the map in the FINNS booking engine to visualise your perfect seat, you could always pop in to FINNS early in your holiday and check out the seating before you book for a date later in your holiday. There are several different areas within FINNS, and each of them attracts different minimum spend requirements based on the area, the type of seating and the season you’re booking for. You can end up agreeing to a minimum spend of as little as 500,000 IDR at some points of the year, and it can be much higher if you want the party platform in the middle of peak season.or ocean. If you’re paying premium, double-check the view.

Food & Drinks: A Lot Of Choice And A Lot Of Taste

One thing that isn’t as cheap as you might expect in Bali is alcohol. That’s because Bali is part of the Republic of Indonesia, which is a majority Muslim nation. As such, despite Bali’s Hindu nature, alcohol throughout the archipelago is heavily taxed.

However, there’s no doubt that the cocktails at FINNS are colourful and always strong enough to provide value for money. They also offer some seriously large-scale cocktails for sharing between large groups of people.

The food is great. FINNS has on-site restaurants, but the menu is served throughout the beach club. That means you can enjoy everything from sushi to Indonesian classics to burgers and pizzas at your daybed.

They have a huge culinary team working across multiple kitchens to create flavourful dishes that really stand out in Bali’s beach club scene.

Pro-tip: You should know that Indonesian law requires all hotels, restaurants, bars, etc. on the island to charge tax and service charge in addition to the menu prices, and this also affects FINNS. The charges are marked clearly at the bottom of the menu, but just remember to factor in these charges in your budget for the day.

Lockers, Pools And Photographs

There are lockers available for rent, and they’re included with some of the minimum spend packages for free, too. They’re the perfect place to stash your stuff while you jump in the pool.

Speaking of pools, there are currently three awesome pools at FINNS. There’s the FINNS Beach Party Pool, the FINNS Beach Party Lagoon and the FINNS VIP Beach Club Oceanfront infinity pool.

You can also get a small private pool if you take one of the VIP Cabanas for the day; they’re a great way to cool off in style and feel like one of the elite for the day.

It’s also worth noting that FINNS is an Instagram-dream-come-true. You can take photographs wherever you want in the venue and enjoy memories that will last a lifetime.

Pro-tip: You can take an action camera or smartphone into FINNS, but you can’t take professional photography gear or a drone inside without written permission from their marketing team (which you probably won’t get unless you’re a major influencer). This isn’t to spite you, it’s to ensure that there’s always room for people to move around freely in this super popular beach club. If you do take camera equipment that’s not allowed inside, you will have to leave it at security when you enter the club.

Customer Service: FINNS Makes You Feel Special

FINNS is all about service, and from the warm welcome as you enter to the moment you leave, you know this day is going to be special.

Service is prompt and efficient, though at the very busiest of times, there can be slight delays, as there can with any club.

Overall, though, you’re bound to have a great time thanks to the happy, helpful Balinese staff, and they may even throw you a free shot (or two) if you’re lucky!

The Beach Club Vibe: The New Bali A Cosmopolitan Playground For A Diverse Crowd

You hear a lot of nonsense on the island about the “real Bali”, but this is the real Bali. Bali may have once been a collection of sleepy backwaters with a few surfers and beach shacks, but this is 2025.

The island is home to over 100 beach clubs, and millions of visitors flock to its shores every year. The fact that 1 in 4 international visitors choose to visit FINNS is a testament to the beach club’s strengths.

This is a cosmopolitan playground for the young (and the young at heart), hip and vital from all corners of the globe to have incredible fun.

If you want a high-energy good time with impeccable views and seriously sociable vibes, FINNS is THE place to be. It’s emblematic of the new Bali, the one that brings people together no matter what their background and ensures they have a time to remember for the rest of their lives.

FAQs About FINNS Beach Club

Q. Do I Have To Pay To Enter FINNS?

No. FINNS has no entrance fee. Even if you decide to book a daybed, you get 100% of the minimum spend to use on food, drinks and tobacco products; there’s no charge to enter the beach club.

Q. Can I Buy A Drink Without Spending A Fortune?

Yes. FINNS has seats in the bar and restaurant areas, which don’t require a minimum spend. You can grab a cold beer or Coke and chill out there as you like.

Q. Is FINNS Family-Friendly?

Absolutely not. In fact, as of early 2025, FINNS became an adults-only venue, and everyone must be 16 years or older to enter the beach club. We hear that sometimes people think there will be an exception for small children, but there isn’t. The loud music, free-flowing alcohol and good times are not ideal for children of any age.

Q. Is There A Dress Code?

FINNS has a very loose dress code, which is always kept up to date on their FAQs on their website. Mainly, it’s beach casual chic, but they are super strict about no facial tattoos and a couple of other things. I recommend you check the official dress code before you book.

Q. When’s The Best Time To Go?

Arrive in the afternoon and then stay until close. The sunset is magical, and it marks the real change from chilled beach days into the highest energy party in Bali.

Q: Dress code?
Beach chic. Swimsuits, cover-ups, sarongs. People dress to impress—expect influencer energy.

Q: When’s the best time to go?
Afternoon into sunset. That golden hour sky over the infinity pool is the moment.

Julia’s Verdict On FINNS Beach Club

FINNS is the new Bali. It’s a place for people who come to the island for amazing parties, beautiful Instagram feeds and a great tan. No, it’s not the cheapest day out, but it is a lot of fun.

They say it’s the world’s best beach club, and while I haven’t visited every beach club in the world or even in Bali, I can say it’s the most famous beach club by a mile, and everyone should tick that box and see it for themselves.

My take is simple. Go at least once, take your friends and on a day when you don’t mind splashing out a bit. FINNS delivers when it comes to vibes and selfies like no other beach club in Bali can.

Other Beach Clubs In Bali

If you’re looking for more beach club ideas, then you might also consider:

Potato Head Bali

Mana Uluwatu – if you want amazing clifftop views and a small, intimate vibe, this beach club is an excellent spot for a romantic date or a more relaxed evening with friends or colleagues.

Ku De Ta – the oldest beach club in Bali, still delivers a decent day out, and while it’s not in the same league as FINNS for energy, you can have a decent party if you keep away from the deafening speakers.

Beach House @ Regent Bali – not for the party goers, this classy and idyllic hotel beach club is one of the newest entrants on the Bali scene. It’s pricey but definitely worth the money if you want a chill day by the pool.

Reef Beach Club – the Apurva Kempinski’s beach club in Nusa Dua is the perfect place for a family day by the pool. It’s not cheap, but if you want a stylish spot to spend time with your kids, you’re going to love this.
